During the summer months (June to August), temperatures at the peaks of the Rocky Mountains can range from around 30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit (around -1 to 10 degrees Celsius). However, during the winter months (December to February), temperatures can drop significantly, reaching well below freezing. At high elevations, winter temperatures can drop to -20 degrees Fahrenheit (-29 degrees Celsius) or even lower.
In addition, weather conditions at high mountain peaks can change rapidly. It can be warm and sunny one moment, and then become extremely cold and windy the next. Therefore, it's important to be prepared for sudden temperature changes and dress accordingly when venturing into the Rocky Mountains.
