How many people have summited Mt. Everest?

As of my knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, there have been 6,074 successful summits of Mt. Everest, with 4,833 individuals having reached its summit at least once. These numbers include both climbers who reached the summit from the south side in Nepal and those who reached it from the north side in Tibet.
