WHEN Does CoeurdAlene Lake Idaho freeze over?

Coeur d'Alene Lake in Idaho rarely freezes over completely due to its large size and depth. However, parts of the lake, particularly in the shallower areas, may experience ice formation during extremely cold winters. These ice formations are typically not thick enough to support activities such as ice skating or ice fishing. The last time the entire lake froze over was in 1968-1969, and it is unlikely to happen again in the near future due to climate change and warmer winters.
