Newgrange (Brú na Bóinne) access is guided tour only, strictly limited. The Office of Public Works (OPW) manages bookings.

Online (Recommended)

1. Visit heritageireland.ie (OPW booking portal).
2. Select "Brú na Bóinne Visitor Experience (Newgrange & Knowth)."
3. Choose date, time slot, ticket type (Adult/Child/Senior/Family).
4. Pay. Receive email confirmation with QR code.

On-Site (Risky)

Limited standby tickets *may* release at the Visitor Centre (Donore, Co. Meath) each morning. Arrive by 9 AM. No guarantee.

Key Tips

• Book months ahead for summer, equinox, weekends.
• Winter weekdays have better availability.
• Tour includes Visitor Centre exhibition + shuttle to Newgrange + chamber entry (lottery for winter solstice sunrise is separate, annual draw).
• Knowth & Dowth are also bookable; Dowth is exterior-only.
