Planned Activities for a July 4th Weekend in North Wildwood, New Jersey

North Wildwood is New Jersey's parade capital, according to Mayor Bill Henfey. North Wildwood has several events to entice tourists on Independence Day weekend, in addition to the beaches, boardwalk, parades and concerts that give this community in Cape Cod County on the Jersey Shore its charm.
  1. Independence Day Parade

    • North Wildwood's annual Independence Day Parade begins at 9 a.m., starting at the corner of 15th and Atlantic Avenue. Set up your chairs along 2nd Avenue for the best view of the parade. Bikes decorated in patriotic colors are a frequent site during the parade.

    Fourth of July Weekend Freedom Festival

    • The Fourth of July Freedom Festival takes place the weekend falling closest to Independence Day. The festival features children's activities, live entertainment, food vendors and crafters. Admission is free to all concerts and musical performances.

    Sports Card, Toys, Comics and Collectibles Show

    • The card, toys, comics and collectibles show takes place in the Wildwoods Convention Center, and it is ideal event for memorabilia lovers and those needing a break from the summer sun. The event features over 100 tables displaying collectibles and memorabilia such as baseball cars, Yu-Gi-Oh, trains, dolls, toys and autographed memorabilia. Admission is free.

    Fourth of July Fireworks Display

    • The official Fourth of July Fireworks display is an annual tradition held on North Wildwood's beach at Pine Avenue. The show starts at 10 p.m. and admission is free.
