By car: If you're driving, you'll need to take I-95 south to Woods Hole, then take the Steamship Authority ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The drive from Boston to Woods Hole takes about 1.5 hours, and the ferry trip takes about 45 minutes.

By bus: Peter Pan Bus Lines offers direct service from Boston to Martha's Vineyard. The trip takes approximately 2.5 hours.
