The Florida Bar is the official organization representing more than 108,000 active lawyers and judges throughout the state of Florida. Through its members' voluntary efforts, The Florida Bar works to advance the administration of justice, promote professionalism and ethics in the legal profession, and improve access to legal services.
Objectives
Under its charter by the Supreme Court of Florida, The Florida Bar's purpose is to carry out the following objectives:
* To advance the science of law and the administration of justice.
* To promote sound professional standards and uphold the honor and dignity of the legal profession.
* To foster public understanding and respect for the law and the legal profession.
* To foster fellowship and cooperation among members of the profession and to support the professional activities and interests of lawyers.
* To assist the courts in the performance of their duties.
