How does Libya make money?

Oil and gas: Libya's primary source of income is its vast oil and gas reserves. The country has the ninth-largest oil reserves in the world, and oil exports account for over 95% of government revenue.

Refining and petrochemicals: Libya also has a refining and petrochemical industry, which processes some of the country's crude oil to produce gasoline, diesel, and other petroleum products.

Agriculture: Agriculture contributes a small portion to Libya's economy, although the country has the potential to increase agricultural production if the political situation stabilizes. Main crops include barley, wheat, olives, citrus fruits, and tomatoes.

Tourism: Before the outbreak of the 2011 civil war, tourism was a growing industry in Libya, with visitors drawn to the country's historical sites, such as the ancient city of Leptis Magna and the Roman amphitheater in Sabratha. However, tourism has largely come to a standstill due to the ongoing conflict.

Given all of the above mentioned industries in which Libya makes its profits from the biggest contributor comes from its oil sales that are exported.
