Mount Cameroon (4,040 m / 13,255 ft), an active stratovolcano, is located near the city of Limbe (formerly Victoria) in the Southwest Region of Cameroon, Central Africa. The mountain rises directly from the coast; Limbe sits at its base on the Gulf of Guinea. The nearby city of Buea (regional capital) is also on the mountain's slopes.
