What is the main religion of Ethiopia?

Ethiopia is a multi-religious country with a rich history of religious diversity. The predominant religion is Christianity, with around 65-70% of the population being adherents. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is the largest denomination, with about 40-50% of the population. Other Christian groups include Protestants and Roman Catholics, who together constitute around 20% of the population.

Islam is also a significant religion in Ethiopia, making up around 30-35% of the population. The majority of Muslims in Ethiopia are Sunni Muslims, with a minority of Shia Muslims.
