Are the deserts in Egypt only to east of Nile River?

The deserts in Egypt are not only to the east of the Nile River but also to the west. Egypt is geographically divided into two regions by the Nile River: Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. Upper Egypt consists of a stretch of desert land known as the Eastern Desert, located to the east of the Nile Valley. On the other hand, Lower Egypt contains both the fertile Nile Delta region and desert land known as the Western Desert, situated to the west of the Nile. These desert regions cover significant portions of the country's total land area, and both Upper and Lower Egypt encompass deserts, not limited to one side of the Nile River.
