Whose land was Palestine?

Palestine is a geographical region in the Middle East, comprising modern-day Israel, State of Palestine, Gaza Strip, and West Bank. Throughout its history, Palestine was inhabited by various ethnic and religious groups, including Canaanites, Israelites, Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Over the centuries, the region came under the control of various empires and civilizations, including the Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, and Ottomans. As such, it is impossible to pinpoint a single group of people as the original owners of Palestine.
