The first place in Asia to greet the sunrise each day is the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East. Located at approximately 169°40' West longitude, Cape Dezhnev on the Chukchi Peninsula marks the continent's easternmost point, but the Kamchatka Peninsula's eastern coastline experiences the earliest dawn due to its position relative to the International Date Line and seasonal sun angles.
