How to Go to Pangkor

Pulau Pangkor is a Malaysian island off the northwest coast of Perak known for its low-key lifestyle, lush rain forests and stunning beaches. Tourists enjoy canoeing, snorkeling and sea-fishing on this quiet island. A daily ferry service runs from Lumut and weekly flights are available from Berjaya Air.

      Drive to catch the ferry. Take the North-South highway to Lumut and exit the Gopeng interchange. If traveling south, turn left after Pangkor/Sitiawan/Batu Gajah and park at the ferry service.

      Take the bus to teh ferry. Buses run frequently to Lumut and drop passengers at the station opposite the Lumut jetty.

      Take the ferry from Lumut to Pangkor. It runs every 30 minutes and takes about 40 minutes, with a stop at Sungai Pinang Kecil. There are many reliable roads circling the island, but only motorbikes and bicycles are allowed.
