How to Travel to Amsterdam by Ferry

Amsterdam is the largest city and the capital of the Netherlands. It is considered the financial and cultural hub of the country. Amsterdam is connected to the North Sea via the North Sea Canal. Amsterdam has many canals that run throughout the city, and most of them terminate in IJ Bay near the North Sea. However, most of the canals are too narrow for large ferries, and usually ferry passengers are required to take land transportation from the port to Amsterdam. Amsterdam's main ferry route is operated by Stena Line. With a little pre-planning and scheduling, you can make a trip to Amsterdam by ferry.
