Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is the current ruler of Oman. He ascended to the throne on January 11, 2020, following the death of his cousin, Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. Prior to his accession, he served as the Minister of Heritage and Culture and as the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
