Leadership Structure of the Chinese Government

China operates under a one-party system led by the Communist Party of China (CPC). Key figures (as of 2023):

• Xi Jinping: CPC General Secretary, President, Central Military Commission Chairman—paramount leader.
• Li Keqiang: Premier, head of State Council (executive).
• Li Zhanshu: Chairman, National People's Congress (legislature).
• Wang Yang: Chairman, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (advisory).
• Zhou Qiang: President, Supreme People's Court (judiciary).
• Zhang Jun: Procurator-General, Supreme People's Procuratorate (prosecution).

The CPC controls all branches; the State Council executes policy; the NPC enacts laws; CPPCC advises; courts and procuratorates handle justice under party leadership.
