Was China 'Discovered' by a Single Person?

The premise is flawed. China has existed as a continuous civilization for thousands of years; it was not "discovered" by any one individual. Human habitation dates to the Neolithic period, and the first major dynasty (Xia) emerged around the 21st century BC. While explorers, merchants, and travelers from abroad have visited throughout history, the concept of "discovering" China as a new land does not apply.
