What is the population density in Myanmar?

According to the World Bank, the population density of Myanmar in 2021 was 78.3 people per square kilometer (203 people per square mile). This figure represents the average population density across the entire country, including both rural and urban areas. However, the population density varies significantly from region to region, with some areas being much more densely populated than others. For example, the Yangon Region, which includes the city of Yangon, has a population density of over 1,000 people per square kilometer, while the Shan State, which is located in the northeastern part of the country, has a population density of less than 10 people per square kilometer.
