Who are the leaders of Laos?
The government of Laos is headed by the President, who is also the head of state and the commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The Prime Minister is the head of government and chairs the Council of Ministers, which is the executive body. The President and the Prime Minister are both appointed by the National Assembly, which is the unicameral legislature of Laos.

The National Assembly has 163 members, who are elected for a five-year term. The last parliamentary elections were held in February 2021, and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) won all of the seats.
