How to Fill out a Korean Address for a Parcel

Each foreign country has a different format for addressing a parcel. For people accustomed to the American postal system only, addressing a package to Korea can be confusing. However, once you learn what to put on each line of the address, you will learn that mailing packages to Korea is not hard.

Instructions

  Fill in your return address on the upper left hand corner of the label. Write your address as it would normally appear, but add USA at the bottom.

  Write the name of the person to whom you are sending the package in the middle of the label. It is acceptable to write the address in English.

  Write the house number directly below the person's name.

  Add the precinct or subdivision of the city below the house number. Cities in Korea are divided up this way.

  Write the name of the city below the precinct. Fill in the province below the city.

  Write South Korea or Republic of Korea at the bottom as both are acceptable. When mailing to North Korea, end the address with Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
