Gather all the documents you need for your Korean traveler's visa, including a passport photo and passport. If you are a non-U.S. citizen living in the United States, you will need to bring proof of U.S. residency (Green card or valid U.S. Visa).
Go to the Korean consulate or embassy if you are located to one nearby. If you are not close to one, you will need to mail your documents in. It may be best to call ahead in order to schedule an appointment. The mailing address varies depending on your location, so refer to the Korean Embassies link below to find your embassy (see Resources).
Give your documents and processing fee ($45 to $150, depending on processing time) to the person helping you at the Korean Embassy. Or mail in your documents if you choose to go that route. For both situations, you will need to include a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) if you do not plan to pick up the visa. Note that you will leave your passport with the Korean Embassy for processing.
Wait for one to two weeks for your visa to be ready for pick up/delivery.
Apply for a travel visa online if you want to expedite your visa. The processing time varies from two to four days. You will need all the same documents as you would for normal processing (see Resources).
