Check the VisaHQ website to see if a Visa is required. Select the country you are a citizen of and where you reside in the drop-down boxes.
Prepare the documents needed for your Visa. You need a current passport that is valid at least six months beyond when you plan to leave Afghanistan. Amendment pages are not usable for this country, so you need to have a blank visa page available for the stamp. Also, two recent photographs are required. The photos need to measure 3/4 cm and be in color, and make sure you are facing front and the background is light. You also need proof of when you are leaving, so a printout of your flight itinerary is required. It needs to show your flight in as well as a return flight or one showing you are flying out from somewhere else.
Write a letter of intent outlining the purpose of your visit as well as the places you plan to visit and how long you plan to stay. If you are applying for a business visa, your place of employment needs to write this letter on company letterhead. Include contact information while in Afghanistan and where you will be staying.
Complete the Visa application form.
Mail the application and supporting documents to your country's consulate. The application includes a place for credit card information to pay for the application fees. A list of fees can be found on the VisaHQ website and Consulate addresses can be found in this article's reference section.
