Why do more than 90 percent of the people in China live eastern third county?
It is not accurate to say that more than 90% of the population in China lives in the eastern third of the country. While the eastern region (including coastal provinces and major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou) is densely populated, the population is more evenly distributed throughout China. Eastern, central, and western regions all support significant portions of the country's population, accounting for roughly one-third to one-half each.
