Where Is the Indus River on a Map?

At more than 1,800 miles long, the Indus River is one of the longest rivers in the world. It begins in Tibet and flows through the Himalayan valleys to Pakistan and into the Arabian Sea.
  1. Latitude and Longitude

    • The Indus River can be located on a map by using its coordinates. In southern Pakistan, the Indus meets the Arabian Sea at approximately 24 degrees north latitude and 67 degrees east longitude.

    Continent

    • The Indus River is located in the continent of Asia. To locate the river, find the Indian subcontinent in southern Asia. West of India, look for the coast where Pakistan borders the Arabian Sea.

    Region

    • The Indus River can also be located by region. It is on the eastern edge of the Middle East region. The river flows through Tibet, India and Pakistan.
