Nunavut's Allegiance: The Canadian Crown and Queen Elizabeth II

Nunavut is a territory of Canada. Its residents are Canadian citizens and owe allegiance to the Canadian monarchy. The Canadian Crown is a distinct legal entity that shares the same sovereign—formerly Queen Elizabeth II, now King Charles III—with the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms. Thus, Nunavut's loyalty is to the Crown of Canada, not directly to the British monarchy.
