Why do Australians prefer the countryside?

This assumption is not necessarily accurate. While Australia has a significant amount of rural and regional areas, it is incorrect to assume that all Australians prefer the countryside. In fact, Australia is a highly urbanised country, and the majority of the population resides in major metropolitan areas such as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.
