- France’s Entry into War

- War at Sea: French Navy

- Naval Support: Admiral d’Estaing

- 1781 French Fleet aided Continental Army at Yorktown

2nd Quebec Conference:

- During War of 1812

- British-Canadian attack and capture U.S. fort of Detroit in August, 1812

- Fall of Detroit: Opened Northwest Territory to British and Native Americans

- British General Isaac Brook planned Invasion of New York from Canada (never occurred)

- British planned attacks down Champlain Valley and St Lawrence River Valley of New York

- Americans defeated British at Battle of Plattsburg in Sept. 1814

- British gave up invasion plans
