- If your account is more than 30 days past due, Hydro-Québec may disconnect your power.
- If you have received a final notice and have not made any payment arrangements, Hydro-Québec may disconnect your power within 24 hours of the date of the final notice.
For safety reasons:
- If there is a safety hazard, Hydro-Québec may disconnect your power without prior notice.
- This could include a damaged power line, a broken meter, or a fire in the home.
For maintenance:
- Hydro-Québec may disconnect your power for maintenance work.
- They will usually give you notice of this in advance.
If you are on a life support system:
- Hydro-Québec will not disconnect your power if you or someone in your household is on a life support system.
- You must provide Hydro-Québec with a doctor's note to verify this.
