Quebecois is a demonym referring to the people of Quebec. The term originates from the French toponym Kébec to which was added the English suffix -ois. The term is widely used in French today. In English, it is generally used when the English words refer to the people, culture or language of Quebec, although Québécois can be used as an adjective that means "of Quebec".
