Reasons to Visit Clyde River, Canada

Clyde River is a town on the east coast of Baffin Island in northern Canada's newly-created Nanavut territory. The inhabitants of Clyde River are predominantly Inuit and the town is also known as Kangiqtugaapik, meaning "nice little inlet." Clyde River is often used as a meeting point for people travelling to the fiords of central Baffin, such as the Sam Ford Fiord. It is situated in the Baffin Mountains and is part of the Arctic Cordillera mountain range. Along with challenging rock and ice climbing, Clyde River is also a good area for spotting wildlife such as the barren-ground caribou, wolves and arctic foxes.
