Are there any shark attacks in Spain?

Although rare, Spain has experienced several fatal shark attacks in recent years. The most recent one was in 2018 when a French tourist was killed by a great white shark off the coast of Tarragona, in Catalonia.

However, it's important to note that Spain has a relatively low risk of shark attacks compared to other countries around the world. The Mediterranean Sea is generally considered a safer region for swimming compared to other parts of the world.
