What did the king of Spain do after getting Florida back?

Spain never actually lost Florida, so there was no need for the king of Spain to get it back. Spain ceded Florida to the United States in the Adams-Onís Treaty of 1819, effectively selling the land for five million dollars, which Spain used to rebuild it's military power.
