Who lives in the Arctic Circle?
Various indigenous peoples and other populations inhabit regions within or near the Arctic Circle, including parts of Alaska (United States), northern Canada, Denmark (Greenland), Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russian Siberia, and Iceland. While population densities tend to be lower than in lower latitudes due to the challenging arctic climate, these regions are rich in diverse cultures, history, and ways of life adapted to the unique Arctic environment.
