You should first decide what exactly it is you are looking for. Is it lonely pristine beaches, casinos in paradise or a never ending night life? That is the first question you should ask yourself.

    • 2

Lets start with some islands that offer pristine sparkling white sand and turquoise waters. You would do well to visit the Dominican Republic, St. Kitts and Nevis or Vieques. These islands offer underdeveloped beaches where you can relax without all the hassle. Some areas of the Dominican Republic can get crowded though. As a rule, the more expensive islands such as The Cayman Islands and Turks and Caicos tend to be somewhat quieter since the college crowd will not want to pay too much.

You may be seeking huge resorts such as the Atlantis in the Bahamas, various resorts in Cancun, Mexico or maybe Marriot's Frenchman's Reef Resort in the US Virgin Islands. Lots of people partying.

    • 4

There are also some islands that do not offer the white sand beaches you are seeking so you should check into that. Some of Costa Rica's beaches offer black, pink and even golden sand. They are all beautiful in their own ways.

    • 5

Some resorts such as those in the Dominican Republic and Aruba offer casinos at the resorts if you are into that.

Do not forget to consider other islands such as Antigua, Barbados, The British Virgin Islands and Jamaica.
