What are the swamps in Tobago?
There are no naturally occurring swamps in Tobago, but there is a wetland located on the island, called the Bon Accord Lagoon. The lagoon spans approximately 1,500 acres and forms part of the broader Tobago wetlands ecosystem. It features marshy areas, mangrove forests, tidal flats, and lagoons. While it may have certain characteristics that resemble swamps, the Bon Accord Lagoon is not considered a true swamp in the strict ecological sense.
