Why did thay name the Bermuda Triangle when ever its between Florida and Puerto Rico?

The Bermuda Triangle is not between Florida and Puerto Rico. It is located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, and consists of Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.
