Do dolphins live in the coral reef?
Dolphins are marine mammals that reside in a wide range of aquatic environments, mainly oceans and deep river mouths. While some dolphin species prefer residing in the open ocean, there are those that frequent shallow coastal waters. Coral reefs thrive in shallow, sunlit coastal waters where clear warm water supports the growth of reef-building corals and associated communities of plants and animals. However, dolphins are not permanent residents of coral reefs. Though they may occasionally explore or seek prey within those areas, coral reefs don't serve as regular dwelling grounds for these cetaceans. Dolphins have larger ranges and migratory patterns dictated by factors such as prey abundance, mating seasons, and habitat preferences.
