Lower downtown Denver, also known as LoDo, is a major destination thanks to its scenic mountain views, historic architecture and numerous restaurants and bars. Visitors to the Colorado city looking for a bite to eat have a large selection of restaurants to choose from, many of which are locally owned.

    • TAG is an American fusion restaurant that offers a broad range of dishes made with local ingredients. The brick interior boasts plush dark booths, hanging lanterns and hardwood floors. Entrees include sushi, sashimi and steak, as well as plates like the Maine diver scallops, served with spinach pomegranate salad and heirloom carrots. TAG hosts a full service bar, and is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and dinner only on weekends.

    Zengo Restaurant

    • Zengo Restaurant is a Latin American and Asian restaurant that offers a large menu, a daily happy hour and an extensive cocktail list. The restaurant is decorated with bright orange tables and chairs and warmly lit hanging lights.     • Rioja is a Mediterranean restaurant located in historic Larimer square. The restaurant features hand-blown glass decor, a copper topped bar and outdoor seating. Entrees include plates like the smoked pork tenderloin, served with comice pears and creamed hazelnut spinach, and pan-roasted Petaluma chicken. The restaurant hosts a full bar. Rioja is open for dinner seven days a week, and open for lunch Wednesday through Friday. Open for brunch on weekends.
