Chada Thai's history goes back to 1959, when it's original owner, Lily Chittivej, opened the restaurant to fill a void in Denver's Thai dining culture. It was the first Thai restaurant to open in the Denver area. The original restaurant closed in 1977 when Lily Chittivej passed away. However, in 2007 her daughter-in-law brought the restaurant back to life. She previously ran another restaurant with her husband Pop Chittivej, who was Lily Chittivej's son. Chada Thai received "5280" magazine's Editor's Choice Award in 2008. The Denver Thai restaurant serves a variety of appetizers, salads, soups, entrees and desserts for lunch and dinner.
