Situated in Annapolis, the Severn Inn provides views of the Severn River as well as the U.S. Naval Academy. The restaurant held "Zagat" dining guide ratings of "very good to excellent" for its food and decor and "good to very good" for its service as of September 2010. Fifteen appetizers lead the menu, such as the lobster and asparagus tempura and the meatballs made with ground veal and black truffles. The signature entree is the crab cakes, which come with fried green tomatoes, red coleslaw and house-made potato chips seasoned with Old Bay. Another is the chateaubriand, 16 ounces of seared beef tenderloin intended for sharing by two diners.
