Is the Panama canal in city?

The Panama Canal is not located in a city. It is a 48-mile (77 km) artificial waterway in Panama that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean. The canal cuts through the Isthmus of Panama and is a key shipping route for international trade. The cities of Panama City and Colón are located on either side of the canal, but the canal itself is not within the boundaries of either city.
