What is an inland desert?

An inland desert is a desert that is located far from any coast or large body of water. It is typically characterized by extreme temperatures, with very hot days and very cold nights. The air in an inland desert is usually dry and dusty, with very little rainfall. The vegetation is sparse and often consists of xerophytic plants that are adapted to the dry conditions. Inland deserts are often found in the interior of continents, and some of the largest ones include the Sahara Desert in Africa, the Gobi Desert in Asia, and the Great Basin Desert in North America.
