What are the names of deserts in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma has four recognized desert areas:

- Black Mesa Desert: Located in Cimarron County in the panhandle region, it covers around 850 square miles.

- Rita Blanca Grasslands: Although not technically a desert but rather a semi-arid shortgrass prairie, Rita Blanca Grasslands exhibits desert-like vegetation. It encompasses almost 10 miles in Beaver County.

- Optima Lake Sands: Situated within Texas County in the panhandle, Optima Lake Sands resembles a small desert.

- Little Sahara National Recreation Area: Found in Woods County in north-central Oklahoma, it's characterized by sand dunes formed due to erosion from the ancient Cimarron River.
