Where is the Negev Desert?

The Negev Desert is located in southern Israel. It covers an area of approximately 13,000 square kilometers (5,000 square miles) and makes up about half of the country's total land area. The Negev Desert is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the west, the Judean Mountains to the north, the Dead Sea and Jordan to the east, and the Sinai Peninsula to the south.
