Shipping from North Carolina to Bermuda by Sea

There are no regular passenger or cargo ship services between North Carolina (or any U.S. East Coast port) and Bermuda.

• Distance: ~600–700 nautical miles (open ocean).
• Travel: Almost exclusively by air (2–2.5 hrs from Charlotte, Raleigh, NYC, Boston).
• Private vessels: Yachts make the crossing (2–3 days weather-dependent); requires experience, preparation, and clearance.
• Cruise ships: Some itineraries include Bermuda from Northeast ports, but not from NC.

For practical purposes, flying is the only viable option.
