The distinction matters: "continent" counts vary by model (4–7), but "continental landmass" is a geological/geographical fact. Eurasia's unity is evident in its continuous tectonic plate (mostly), shared biogeography (Palearctic realm), and historical connectivity (Silk Road, steppe corridor).
If counting by traditional continents (7-model), Asia (~44.6M km²) is #1, Africa #2. But as a single landmass, Eurasia > Africa > North America > South America > Antarctica > Australia.
