The **Midnight Sun** (24-hour daylight) occurs **north of the Arctic Circle (66.5°N)** in summer and **south of the Antarctic Circle (66.5°S)** in winter. Countries with territory in these zones:

  • Chile (Magallanes/Antártica Chilena): Puerto Williams (54.9°S) — similar.

  • **Best access:** Tromsø (NO), Kiruna (SE), Rovaniemi (FI), Fairbanks (US), Longyearbyen (SJ).
  • **Activities:** Midnight hiking, golf, festivals, photography, whale watching.
  • **Opposite:** Polar Night (24h darkness) in winter at same latitudes.
