Which New York Governors became US Vice Presidents?

Four New York Governors have gone on to become Vice Presidents of the United States:

1) George Clinton: Clinton served as the fourth Governor of New York from 1777 to 1795 and again from 1801 to 1804. He was the first Vice President of the United States under President Thomas Jefferson, serving from 1805 until his death in 1812.

2) Theodore Roosevelt: Roosevelt was the 33rd Governor of New York from 1899 to 1900. He later became the 26th President of the United States, serving from 1901 to 1909.

3) Franklin D. Roosevelt: Roosevelt served as the 44th Governor of New York from 1929 to 1932. He went on to become the 32nd President of the United States, serving an unprecedented four terms from 1933 until his death in 1945.

4) Nelson A. Rockefeller: Rockefeller was the 49th Governor of New York from 1959 to 1973. Although he never became Vice President, he was nominated as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate in the 1960 presidential election, running alongside Richard Nixon.
