What countries are included in the region of Fertile Crescent?

The Fertile Crescent, also known as the Cradle of Civilization, is a crescent-shaped region of Southwest Asia. Today the region includes the eastern portion of Turkey, Syria, northern Israel, Iraq, Lebanon, Kuwait, Jordan, the Palestinian territories, and western Iran.
